The boy, who cannot be identified due to his age, was caught with a black handled Gurkha knife on the grounds of a school on December 5.
As the school has a small pupil population we have chosen not to name it so as not to identify the boy.
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (March 18) where he admitted the charge of possessing a bladed article on school premises.
The boy was then referred to a youth offender panel for four months.
Youth offender panels deal with young offenders who have appeared in court for the first time and are designed to help young people to take responsibility for their actions and prevent future offending.
