Greater Glasgow Violence Reduction Unit officers have been conducting patrols in the Union Street and Argyle Street in the city centre.

Officers have seized two vehicles linked to criminal activity and recovered over £20,000 under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

In a statement on social media, Police Scotland Great Glasgow said: “Recently, Greater Glasgow Violence Reduction Unit officers have been conducting pro-active patrols in the Union St and Argyle St areas of the City Centre.

“21 wanted persons have been arrested, two vehicles involved in criminality have been seized and over £20,000 in cash has been seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
“The Divisional Violence Reduction Unit regularly patrol the City Centre and surrounding area and are committed to keeping the public safe.
