Amy Baker, 24, of the Hanover area, went before Hove Crown Court yesterday (26 February).
It follows an incident in Brighton on March 16, 2021.
Police received reports of a two-year-old girl having suffered significant injuries.
The child was safeguarded, police said.
Baker was charged with neglecting a child to cause unnecessary suffering and injury.
She pleaded guilty at Hove Crown Court yesterday and will be sentenced on May 28.
