George Nicholson was convicted at Bromley Magistrates Court on February 13.

This followed from a proactive operation led by Bromley Town Safer Neighbourhoods Team which led to his arrest.

Nicholson was issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) for three years to not enter any Co-operative food store in England and Wales.

He was additionally banned from entering Penge High Street, including two Tesco branches as well as the Blenheim Centre, and has also been ordered not to enter any commercial premises where he was banned verbally or in writing.

A statement from Bromley MPS reads: “A Proactive operation by Crystal Palace, Penge & Cator, Hayes & Coney Hall, Bromley Town SNT leads to arrest and conviction.

“George NICHOLSON was arrested following the operation and was convicted of theft at Bromley Magistrates Court on 13th February 2025.

“He was giving a conditional discharge for 12 months. £26 Surcharge & £80 Costs and a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO)

“Following conviction at Bromley Magistrates Court on 13th February 2025, George NICHOLSON has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) for 3 Years.

“George NICHOLSON must not:

“1. Not to enter any CO-OPERATIVE FOOD STORE in ENGLAND and WALES.

“2. Not to enter Penge High Street between and including TESCO 74 HIGH STREET, PENGE, SE20 and TESCO 204-212 HIGH STREET, PENGE, SE20 including the BLENHEIM CENTRE, 140 HIGH STREET PENGE, SE20.

“3. Must not enter any commercial premises from which he has been banned verbally or in writing.”
