The venue said: “It’s with a heavy heart that we will be closing our doors next Thursday, February 27.

“We really pushed to try and keep it open for the weekend for one last time but it is out of our hands, we are so sorry.

“But we would like to say thank you to our loyal customers, without you it wouldn’t be the iconic pub it is.

“Massive thank you to the staff who have worked here also, without the workers there wouldn’t have been any pub to run.

“We are grateful to anyone who has come through our doors, we appreciate you all.

“Love, The Broch.”
