A woman has suffered serious injuries following reports of a shooting at a pub.
Police say they were called to a “disturbance” at the Three Horseshoes pub in Main Road, Knockholt, near Sevenoaks, shortly after 7pm.
A woman in her 40s was seriously hurt, while a man believed to be known to her, who has yet to be found, is being treated as a suspect.
A man whose daughter was in the pub at the time told KentOnline there had been a shooting.
Both Main Road and Pound Lane have been sealed off by officers, and a blue tent can be seen erected near the pub.
Forensics have also been spotted in the area, and a helicopter can be heard overhead.
Residents have been seen being escorted into their homes.
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 7.02pm to a report of a disturbance at the Three Horseshoes pub in Main Road, Knockholt.
“Officers attended the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service where a woman in her 40s had suffered serious injuries.
“The suspect, a man who is believed to be known to the victim, left the area and is currently outstanding.
“Enquiries to locate him and to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.”
