It has been reported that an object is caught on the overhead wires between Paisley Gilmour Street and Port Glasgow.
Scotrail has warned that disruption is expected.
They have also warned travellers that train services between Glasgow Central and Gourock or Wemyss Bay may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
In their latest statement on X Scotrail said: “We’ve had a report of an object caught on the overhead wires near Langbank.
“Our Network Rail colleagues are working to get engineers to the site to remove this object safely.”
