Piano bar and restaurant, The Baby Grand in Charing Cross, sadly shut down on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
We reported that the city centre institution was closing after over 40 years.
The restaurant closed down as its building is set to be demolished to make way for new student housing.
The eatery originally opened in 1984.

Before it closed its doors for the last ever time, Scottish musician Ricky Ross swung by the pub to perform a quick tune.
The 67-year-old, who is known for being the lead singer of the pop rock band Deacon Blue, wowed fans after he performed at the venue before it closed last week.
The band, which was formed in Glasgow in 1985, are known for their incredible hits including Real Gone Kid, Dignity, Chocolate Girl, and Twist and Shout.
Revealing Ricky’s amazing performance at the Glasgow institution, The Baby Grand thanked the star for the tribute song and piano performance.
They also revealed it was a ‘full circle’ moment as his ‘first gig’ was at the much-loved venue.
Meanwhile, the piano bar also thanked its punters for ‘all the love’ over the last four decades.

Revealing Ricky’s performance in a heartbreaking post saying goodbye for the final time, The Baby Grand wrote on Instagram: “And just like that, after just over four decades, our doors are now well and truly closed.
“What a grand farewell you gave us, Glasgow.
“We were obviously thrilled to see so many of you come join us one last time.
“A massive thanks to Deacon Blue’s Ricky Ross for the tribute – a full circle with his first gig being at The Baby Grand.
“Goodbye, folks. Thank you for all the love.”
After revealing the restaurant would be closing down in January, its owner, Billy McAneney, said it will “almost certainly not” reopen at another location but says he has “had a ball” over the last four decades.
