Series three of the intense reality show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, returned to TV screens on New Year’s Day (January 1).
Thirteen contestants had already been eliminated ahead of Thursday’s show, including two of ‘The Traitors’.
Did Charlotte join Minah as a new Traitor?
Thursday’s episode of The Traitors began with Charlotte facing a major ultimatum – join Minah as a Traitor or risk being immediately ‘murdered’.
How The Traitors TV show works
Linda became the second Traitor banished from series three of The Traitors on Wednesday night following another round table vote.
Linda’s elimination – which came after Fozia had been ‘murdered’ earlier in the episode – meant Minah was left as the only remaining Traitor.
Claudia met Minah in the Traitors secret tower after the round table vote and charged her with selecting another contestant to bring on board as a Traitor.
The person she selected would face an ultimatum – join her as a Traitor or be immediately ‘murdered’.
Minah selected Charlotte and the pair came face to face at the fire pit to discuss the situation.
Minah explained she had selected Charlotte because she was “smart” and had been one of the closest to finding her out as a Traitor.
Charlotte said she was “shocked” at being selected but in the end accepted the role.
Upon switching from a Faithful to a Traitor, she said: “It’s mad how much this game can change in one day.”
New Traitors ‘murder’ first victim
Once Charlotte had joined Minah, the pair then set about ‘murdering’ their first victim together.
They selected to get rid of Anna, saying: “She’s had her time.”
Before leaving the castle Anna added: “I’m devastated. I loved this game.”
The Traitors contestant locates shield during daily challenge
During episode eight, the group took part in their daily mission, which involved a cabin in the woods full of talking dolls, where they had to try and decipher songs they were singing.
During the challenge Jake found a shield which meant he was immune from being murdered.
Who was banished from The Traitors tonight?
Following the challenge, players then headed to another round table vote.
It was Alex who received the most votes tonight, meaning he became the latest player to be banished from The Traitors.
