tech&fest festival is back on February 5 and 6, 2025 at Alpexpo in Grenoble, for its second edition. Located in the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, France’s leading industrial area (11% of national GDP) and a strategic hub for technological innovation of international scope, the festival continues to expand.
Christophe Victor, General Manager of Le Dauphiné Libéré, who initiated the event, explains: “The festival presents the best of the region’s technological know-how, and places the idea of progress at the heart of its approach. tech&fest, a collaborative event, is based on a powerful triptych combining Research, University and Companies.”
Founding partners include the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Grenoble Alpes Métropole, CEA (the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), Grésivaudan and Crédit Mutuel, as well as CNRS (National Center for scientific Research), Inria (National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology) and UGA .

The event will welcome over 200 speakers, 300 exhibiting companies and 20,000 BtoB visitors.
The signature of a strategic partnership with the French Foreign Trade Advisors (Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France) and the hosting of delegations and exhibitors from Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and South Korea will enable the festival to set its sights on the international stage, as early as 2025.
A programme based on 6 major universes, the event is structured around six universes:
- tech & human (Health & well-being)
- tech & planet (Energy, mobility & environment)
- tech & fab (Industry & electronics)
- tech & solutions (Business solutions)
- tech & space (Space, Aerospace)
- tech & you (Sport & well-being, living together, creative industry)
More than 200 renowned speakers are expected on the festival’s various stages, including Arthur Auboeuf (TEAM FOR THE PLANET), Nicolas Dufourcq (BPI FRANCE), Etienne Klein (physicist and philosopher), Florence Lambert (GENVIA), Gabrielle Halpern (philosopher) and Hugo Travers (HUGO DECRYPTE).
Topics covered include artificial intelligence and its impact on different sectors, talks between researchers and industry, cybersecurity, the future of the European space industry, changing practices in medtech, major trends in e-commerce 2025 and reindustrialisation.
But tech&fest wouldn’t be tech&fest without its artistic programme, its concerts and its many opportunities to network…differently. A live concert by BON ENTENDEUR will close the event on the evening of Thursday February 6.
Benoit Lemaignan: The Godfather of The 2025 Edition
Benoit Lemaignan, co-founder and chairman of Verkor (an industrial start-up dedicated to low-carbon batteries), which has risen to unicorn status in just three years, out of its four years of existence and was born in Grenoble is embodying the theme of the 2025 edition “the sense of tech.”
He will be the godfather of this year’s event, taking over from Maud Vinet, founder of Quobly, a leader in the research and creation of quantum computers, who was godmother of last year’s festival and has confirmed her presence at this year’s event.

tech&fest: An Innovative Festival
tech&fest is committed to young people, welcoming 3,000 middle and high school students for a 2-hour guided tour of the festival, during which partners, students and teachers can discover professions and learn about tech through discussions and workshops at the festival.
tech&fest is committed to employment through the creation of a Job Dating area where job seekers (short and long-term contracts and apprenticeships) can meet companies recruiting in the fields of Customer Relations, Engineering, Digital and Production.
