TRAVIS finished off the last night of their Raze the Bar tour by blasting out the best of their songs old and new in their hometown.

Announcing their arrival on Glasgow’s Hydro stage aptly with the theme from Cheers (Where Everybody Knows Your Name), the Glaswegian rockers opened up their set with Bus.

Driftwood followed as frontman Fran Healy egged on the crowd with, “C’mon Glasgow.”

He then said – whilst taking in the view of thousands of fans: “Good evening Glasgow. Oh my God.

“It’s Saturday night, no work on Monday.

“It’s so so so good to be here. Thank you for coming tonight.”

He added: “It’s the last night out of the tour but it’s always the last night of the tour for a reason.”

And with that, he got the party started in the Finnieston venue as he performed Good Feeling revealing he wrote it when he got dumped in 1995.

Re-Offender taken from the band’s fourth studio album 12 Memories proved to be a poignant moment as Healy told the crowd it was about his parents’ toxic relationship where domestic violence was present.

Backed by the effortlessly cool bassist Dougie Payne, drummer Neil Primrose and guitarist Andy Dunlop, Side sounded incredible in the arena with Healy enhancing that climaxing sound with his unique voice.

Sing and Selfish Jean amped up the atmosphere while Turn was a moment to remember.

Healy seemed to be delighted to be back performing in the city he grew up in. Energetic, full of stories, and delivering vocally, he was thoroughly entertaining throughout.

A cover of Wings’ Mull of Kintyre with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers was simply spectacular while that Travis’ anthem Why Does It Always Rain on Me? sent the crowd wild.
