Sixes Cricket is an immersive cricketing experience located on the seafront at Brighton i360 which opened in July of last year.

The sporting facility has now announced that due to the closure of the attraction, it has also shut until further notice.

A spokesman for Sixes Cricket said: “We have been made aware that Brighton i360 has gone into administration, which in turn has meant that Sixes in Brighton has remained closed today and will be until further notice.

“We are working closely with all relevant parties on next steps and will confirm in due course.

It follows the news from Brighton and Hove City Council that the i360 has closed with immediate effect due to a lack of viable offers.

Brighton i360 filed for insolvency at the end of last month while still owing millions to the council.

Staff members at the attraction have reported that they have been made redundant just before Christmas without being paid their remaining wages.

Sixes Cricket operates 16 sites across the UK.
