South Lanarkshire Council said there has been an accident on the B758 at Haughhead Bridge.
Due to the incident, the local authority said the road is currently shut to allow cops to recover a vehicle.
The council also said due to the available road width, two-way lights will be installed to keep the road usable.

The exact nature of the incident is unknown. Meanwhile, it is also unknown if anyone has been injured.
Haughhead Bridge is a historic 19th-century road bridge which connects Uddingston with Blantyre and other areas in South Lanarkshire.
There has been an accident on the B758 at Haughhead Bridge.

A spokesperson for South Lanarkshire Council said: “There has been an accident on the B758 at Haughhead Bridge.
“Due to available road width two-way lights will be installed to keep the road usable.
“The road is closed at present by Police temporarily to recover the vehicle.”
