Police were called to a disturbance near a railway station following reports of a man seen “bashing” at the door of a property.
Four police cars were spotted parked outside the house in St Mary’s Road, Faversham, this afternoon (November 13).
The owner of nearby Railway Cutting Barbers, Marc Chazot, told KentOnline he was cutting a customer’s hair when he saw the “bright, blue lights” pull up in the street.
He added: “A man was bashing at the door of a property which must have triggered the response by the police. I could not see it but I heard it.
“There were a lot of police. I thought it was quite a heavy response for just one person.
“Not a lot seems to happen in Faversham which is why there were probably so many officers around.”
The force confirmed it was called just before 4pm to reports of a disturbance in St Marys Road and attended the scene.
A man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and assaulting an emergency worker.
