Camera club snapper Nicola Cunningham visited Brighton’s Palace Pier and captured some dazzling pictures of its illuminations in all their glory.
The Palace Pier opened in May 1899 after the previous Chain Pier was washed away during a storm, meaning it had to be rebuilt entirely.
Nicola captured the Crazy Mouse coaster, which has been operating on the pier since 2000.

In the distance, the purple halo of the i360 is visible.
Sharing her snaps with The Argus’s camera club, Nicola wrote: “When the sun goes down, the city lights up.”
