Cops and the Scottish Ambulance Service were called to Burnbrae Drive shortly after 9am this morning.
One local business has been evacuated.
It comes after a device – thought to be an old ordnance device – was found.
It has not been revealed where exactly it was found.
The bomb disposal team have been made aware.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.05am on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, police were called after a device – thought to be an old ordnance device – was found in Burnbrae Dr, Linwood.
“As a precaution, a cordon has been placed around the area and one local business has been evacuated. The EOD – Explosive Ordnance Department – has been made aware. Emergency services remain at the scene.
“Local roads in the area have been closed.”
