An opening date has been revealed for a much-awaited Home Bargains store.
The discount chain will be moving into the site on Millennium Way in Sheerness.
It is set to take over the building once occupied by Aldi, which previously shut and was put on the market for £2million.
The supermarket giant had plans to move to a bigger location in Neats Court Business Park, Queenborough.
A total of 30 staff were transferred over and it finally opened to shoppers on July 18.
Since then, a sign has appeared outside the store while building work takes place on the new Home Bargains branch.
It will be opening on Saturday, November 30 and says it is currently recruiting new jobs.
KentOnline looked up what roles were available, but couldn’t see any for Sheerness at the time of writing.
Home Bargains has more than 500 sites across the UK.
There are currently 10 in Kent, with nearby Sittingbourne and Faversham all offering customers what the company calls “top brands, bottom prices”.
On social media people were excited to hear of the official opening date.
One said: “Just in time for Christmas!” while another added: “Brilliant can’t wait.”
