The interior and exterior of the bungalow in Barnsite Gardens, Rustington, have melted away in the blaze as firefighters work to dampen the building down.
Pictures from the scene show firefighters wearing breathing equipment when entering the now-smouldering building.

The fire was just miles away from the site of a catastrophic inferno at a recycling centre in Climping yesterday with firefighters still on scene keeping hotspots at bay.
Molten plastic is all that remains of windows, doors and gutters on the exterior of the property, charred by the heat of the flames.
Firefighters were confronted with smoke billowing from the building when they arrived at the scene earlier today, according to a witness.
The time firefighters spent inside the building was being monitored to ensure they had enough oxygen in their tank.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
