Dramatic photos reveal the aftermath of a black Mercedes crashing into a lamppost on Sandgate Road, near the roundabout by Castle Hill Avenue in Folkestone.
The vehicle sustained significant damage, with the left side severely impacted and the front bumper completely detached. Emergency services, including police and fire crews, arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m.
According to a passerby who spoke with KentOnline, there was no sign of the driver, and the accident may have caused a suspected gas leak. Emergency services have been reached out to for further details.
