The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) responded to an incident at approximately 1:45 pm on Wednesday, August 14. They were alerted to a report of an individual who had fallen down an embankment near the National Cycle Route 75 at Elderslie.

In response, three fire trucks and a rope rescue team were dispatched to the location. The fire crews successfully rescued the person, who was then handed over to the Scottish Ambulance Service.

An SFRS spokesperson stated, “We were notified at 1:44 pm on Wednesday, August 14, about a person who had fallen down an embankment near National Cycle Route 75 at Elderslie. Operations control immediately dispatched three appliances and a rope rescue team to the scene. Our crews safely rescued the individual, who was then taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. We ensured the area was secure before leaving the scene.”
