Post Office services in Hampden Park, Eastbourne, were suspended in June 2023 following the resignation of the operator at the Rosebury Avenue site, resulting in the branch closure.

The office has now reopened under a new operator and at a new location, with officials expressing their delight at returning to the area.

The Hampden Park post office is now operating from the Paperlane shop in Brassey Avenue, a convenience store that also sells cards, stationery, and confectionery.

Emily Clive, network provision lead for the Post Office, said, “We are delighted to have restored Post Office services to Hampden Park as we know how important a post office is to the community.

“I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that our customers will continue to use this service.”

The new post office, which opened on Friday, is open from 7am to 10pm every day.
