Renfield Lane will be shut to traffic between Wednesday, July 31 and Friday, August 2 and pedestrians will also be asked to wait when ‘action’ is called.

Production crews will be stationed in the city centre lane to shoot scenes for an upcoming true-life story.

Titled I Swear, the film is based on the life of Tourette’s syndrome campaigner John Davidson who was diagnosed with the condition at the age of 15.

Glasgow City Council has permitted film crews to film in Renfield Lane with no access at the following times:

Prohibition of waiting, loading and unloading
From 15:00 on July 31, 2024, until 03:00 on August 2, 2024

Prohibition of vehicle movements
From 16:00 on August 1, 2024 until 03:00 on August 2, 2024

Pedestrian movements stopped during ‘action’
From 16:00 on August 1, 2024 until 03:00 on August 2, 2024
