Invicta Dynamos’ head coach Karl Lennon is thrilled with the team’s summer progress as their new roster nears completion.
With the 2024/25 season fixtures soon to be announced, Lennon added Lithuanian forward Vilius Krakauskas to the squad just before the weekend. Krakauskas, who recently played for the Romford Buccaneers, has also played in Lithuania, Latvia, and Sweden, and returns to the ice after a year running an ice hockey coaching business.
Lennon expressed satisfaction with the squad’s development, stating it’s “around 95% done.” He emphasized the challenges of recruiting international players, highlighting Krakauskas’ familiarity with the UK hockey scene and his impressive record.
The team has seen significant additions over the summer. Forward Aaron Connolly, 30, returns to his hometown club after starting with the Dynamos at six and debuting at 13. He brings experience from Chelmsford, Slough Jets, Basingstoke Bison, and Romford Raiders.
New recruits include 23-year-old defenseman Callum Burnett from Streatham Redhawks, forward Cameron Pywell, 25, from Sheffield Scimitars, and 21-year-old netminder Brad Windebank from Romford Raiders. Louis Colvin returns after a season with National League champions Leeds Knights.
Returning players for next season include defenseman Gregor McAllan, Michael Stokes, Joe Stephenson, Harrison Lillis, Danish forward Mads Thune, and forward Oli Bronnimann, among others. Young talent is also being promoted, with four Invicta Colts under-18s joining the senior roster.
Lennon is optimistic about the team’s early start to training, believing it will significantly benefit their readiness for the season starting in September.
