“Scottish DJ Calvin Harris Energizes TRNSMT 2024 Crowd with Classic Hits

Calvin Harris, the superstar DJ from Dumfries, brought the house down as he closed out TRNSMT 2024 on Sunday night at Glasgow Green. Despite the onset of rain after a weekend of sunshine, Harris kicked off his set with the upbeat ‘This Is What You Came For,’ featuring Rihanna, a track he co-wrote with Taylor Swift.

Addressing the crowd enthusiastically, Harris exclaimed, ‘Glasgow! I want to see everyone’s hands in the air right now!’ The audience eagerly obliged, setting the stage for a night of non-stop dancing.

Referencing the Euros final between England and Spain, Harris playfully updated the crowd on the score while keeping the beats pumping. Known for his commanding presence on dance floors worldwide, from Ibiza to Las Vegas and now at TRNSMT, Harris showcased his prowess both as a DJ and a producer.

Throughout his two-hour set, Harris delved into his extensive catalog, treating fans to hits like ‘Outside’ featuring Ellie Goulding and ‘We Found Love’ featuring Rihanna. Despite some production limitations at the festival stage, Harris’s performance was electric, punctuated by fiery visuals and synchronized lighting that complemented his beats.

Highlights included nostalgic tracks like ‘Feels So Close’ and crowd-pleasers such as ‘I Could Be The One’ by Nicky Romero and Avicii. Ending on a high note with the iconic GBX anthem ‘Bits and Pieces’ and ‘Miracle’ featuring Ellie Goulding, Harris thanked the crowd for their energy and enthusiasm throughout the night, acknowledging the football match that coincided with his set.”
