The new Toys “R” Us section inside the WHSmith branch on Queen’s Road, Hastings, will open on July 20.

An opening event will be held from 9am to 1pm, with the first 50 children receiving goody bags worth over £20.

Brand mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe will cut the ribbon for the official opening. The new shop-in-shop will feature in-store demonstration tables for children to test toys and a life-sized Geoffrey the Giraffe sculpture for photo opportunities.

This shop is one of thirty WHSmith locations to include a Toys “R” Us section this year, following a recent opening in Brighton.

Ian Sanders, Group Commercial Development Director at WHSmith, said, “We’re really excited to be opening Toys“R”Us in Hastings. WHSmith is known for being the hub of the High Street, providing customers with a range of great products and services. Partnering with Toys “R” Us gives us a leading toys and games range in our stores and means customers have even more reasons to shop with us. We look forward to welcoming many more customers into our store.”
