Dougie Vipond, who plays the drums for the Dignity hitmakers, announced that he tied the knot with his girlfriend Fiona on Monday, July 1.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the Elderslie-born musician said: “So this happened yesterday. Fiona made me the happiest man in the world when she agreed to be Mrs V.”

Clare Grogan, Gregory’s Girl actress and lead singer of Altered Images, said: “Congratulations.”
Fans of Deacon Blue, which rose to fame with their debut album, Raintown, in 1987 also shared their well wishes.
