Police are issuing a warning after more than 20 cars were targeted in a single night in the villages of Snowdown and Woolage Green between Canterbury and Dover.

Vehicles on Aylesham Road, Snowdown, and nearby Woolage Green were interfered with in the early hours of Sunday morning. Reports indicate that door handles were tried, property was rummaged through, and items were stolen. Cash and personal items were taken, though some were later recovered nearby.

Following an investigation, officers have arrested three fifteen-year-old boys in connection with the incidents. They remain in custody pending further enquiries.

Police are now advising car owners to take precautions to prevent theft. A police spokesman said: “Drivers should ensure vehicles are locked, particularly if your car’s wing mirrors indicate it is unlocked. Avoid leaving valuables in vehicles, but if necessary, keep them out of sight. Completely close all windows and sunroofs, even in hot weather, to prevent thieves from ‘fishing’ through them. Park in busy, well-lit areas, ideally covered by CCTV, if leaving your car overnight.”
