Rare vehicles and modern classics from across the world parked  in Madeira Drive on Sunday for a day at the coast.

Colourful Citroens and regal Rolls-Royces were among the cars on the bill as enthusiasts watched the arrivals roll in – while tucking into a traditional ice cream or fish and chips.

The convoy set off from Brooklands Museum in Surrey at around 8.30 in the morning and cars started to reach Madeira Drive just after noon after following a route which took in the best of the South Downs.

The rally continued the century-long motoring tradition Madeira Drive is known for, with its Veteran Car Run and Speed Trials, though the latter has now been cancelled.

Enthusiasts of all ages enjoyed the cars, some of which dated back almost a century and from all corners of the globe.
