Specsavers plans to launch a new facility later this year to meet the rising demand for eye and hearing care appointments, generating four new job opportunities.

The facility, situated adjacent to the Specsavers store on Stonelaw Road, will manage calls and conduct initial assessments for patients scheduling appointments at its Rutherglen, Glasgow Fort, and Sauchiehall Street branches.

Arlene Stephenson, director of Specsavers in Rutherglen, Sauchiehall Street, and Glasgow Fort, emphasized the importance of giving back to local communities through this investment. The new call center not only creates employment prospects for locals but also contributes to revitalizing the town center.

This investment underscores Specsavers’ commitment to enhancing patient access to essential eye and hearing services across Glasgow and South Lanarkshire. Centralizing call handling and assessments will streamline the booking process, ensuring patients receive appropriate services promptly, whether it’s an appointment, telephonic advice, or home visits for those in need.
