A pensioner says she has never felt more unsafe after her vehicle was one of at least six targeted by yobs.
Maggie Stovell says all four of her tyres were slashed on her Vauxhall Astra while parked outside her home in Linden Crescent, Folkestone.
The 79-year-old says the incident happened over the course of 26 minutes on Monday.
Having looked at CCTV, Mrs Stovell believes one suspect targeted her car three times between 8.20pm and 8.50pm.
She said: “I was informed by an observant neighbour just before 9pm he had heard some loud bangs and saw a male running from my vehicle up the road from a crouched position.
“He has slashed all four tyres. Why this should happen to me in particular is a mystery.
“I have lived in my house for more than 39 years and for the first time feel unsafe.
“Not a good testament for our social system of today.”
Police say they have received a further six reports relating to windows being smashed or other damage to vehicles across Folkestone.
It is believed the incidents took place in Julian Road, Radnor Park Avenue, Linksway, Cornwallis Avenue and Middlemead between Friday and Monday.
Video footage seen by KentOnline shows a Vauxhall Corsa in Linksway being targeted by vandals.
Four people can be seen running in front of the vehicle, before one picks up an object, believed to be a rock, and launches it at its windscreen.
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious during this period to come forward.
