According to the developers, nine of these flats will be one-bedroom and two will have two bedrooms.

Each flat will have an open-plan kitchen and living room space, with windows to allow natural light in.

Residents will be able to use the existing car parking facilities onsite, however developers have said that people will be able to also use public transport which is close to the building.

A spokesman for developers M J Prime Property Limited said: “The impact of the development on transport and highways is considered not to be detrimental or harmful due to the proposed development being located within a highly sustainable location where modes of transport other than the private car should be encouraged.”

The plans were approved on May 3.

An earlier application for converting parts of the building, including areas of the ground floor, into 24 flats has already been completed at the site.
