The lunch, which is expected to have 200 attendees, will involve a question and answer session with Tim.

Alex Holden, chief executive of Overcoming MS, will also inform people about what the charity does to support individuals coping with MS.

Tim said: “Our 2023 lunch saw the brightest and best from the Sussex business community on parade at The Amex.

“I had great feedback from them all and – amazingly – they have all signed-up again for this year’s lunch. I am so grateful for their continued support.

“We raised an incredible £25k for Overcoming MS and helped spread the word about the amazing work of the charity.”

Tim, who was diagnosed with MS in 2012 and has received significant support  from the charity, said Tony’s wife Linda Bloom, who founded the charity, has been a great support for many people. Linda was diagnosed with MS in 2002.

He said: “Many people will know, or know of, Brighton football club owner Tony Bloom.

“What they will not be aware of is that Tony’s wife Linda founded Overcoming MS 10 years ago.

“Today as president of the organisation, Linda and the Overcoming MS team continue to support and give hope to thousands of people around the world struggling with this debilitating and degenerative disease.”

At the lunch last year, money was raised through items, such as Fatboy Slim tickets, being auctioned off by sponsors.

The headline sponsor for the event this year is Posturite.

Tim said: “I am so grateful to all the sponsors for their wonderful generosity last year.

“They were supported by auction masters Sam Thomas and James Dempster, while the amazing Ryan Heal compered a brilliant Heads and Tails competition.”

Tickets for the charity lunch are £85 per person plus VAT and can be purchased by contacting tim@cobbpr.com.
