Part of M77 closed as ‘lots of emergency vehicles’ spotted

Traffic Scotland wrote on X that cops have locked down the road at Junction 2 Southbound. The force originally shut the road in both directions, but Northbound has since re-opened. 

They said:  “Southbound J2 is closed. There is an ongoing Police incident, Police are holding traffic.

“Police have reopened the road northbound. Southbound remains shut.”

The nature of the incident is currently unknown. 

However, one person took to X to say that the incident “looks a bad one, lots of emergency vehicles.” 

Another added that they had been stuck in traffic for ages. 

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
