Police have calmed concerns over several dog units being spotted in a car park popular with boy racers.
Witnesses saw five vehicles in the overflow car park behind Ashford’s Cineworld on Eureka Leisure Park this morning.
But a police spokesman said it was part of a training exercise for the dog teams and was not a part of an emergency response.
Boy racers gathering in the car park have previously proved a “total nightmare” for people living nearby, with neighbours woken up by revving engines and loud music.
Last month, officers stopped a driver in the car park and handed out a Section 59 warning, which officers can issue when driving is “likely to cause alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public”.
Owners of the site have said that car meets are prohibited but neighbours still want more action to be taken to stop them.
