Residents were removed from their homes on Westmuir Street in the city’s Parkhead on Saturday evening.
999 crews were made aware of a possible carbon dioxide leak in the flats.
Cops and firefighters attended and the building was checked.
After it was deemed safe, people returned to their homes.
The force revealed that they are investigating the circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.55pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024, we were made aware of a possible carbon dioxide leak at a block of flats in the Westmuir Steet area of Glasgow.
“Officers attended to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with evacuating several nearby properties.
“The building was deemed safe and residents were allowed to return. No injuries have been reported.
“Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.”
