Figgy, a Mastiff Cross, was found alongside his three siblings in December 2022.

They were found by a member of the public and taken to an RSPCA centre in London before being moved to the RSPCA Mount Noddy Animal Centre in Black Mill Lane, Eartham, in Chichester.

They were then diagnosed with ringworm, which is a fungal skin infection that causes hair loss and red, crusty skin, and treated in an isolated unit together.

Figgy’s siblings were all adopted following their recovery, however his ringworm took longer to clear.

He is still yet to find his forever home.

A spokesman for the Mount Noddy Animal Centre said: “He is a beautiful boy who is adored by everyone here at the centre.

“He has grown a lot since December 2022 and is now around 50kg. A very big puppy who is such a cheeky, goofy boy.

“He is waiting for his family who understands that despite being a big bouncy, strong boy he is also a very sensitive soul, who needs time and support to learn about the big wide world outside our animal centre.”

The centre said that Figgy would need an adopter who is willing to follow his exercise plan to help him build his muscle mass.

He is currently undergoing hydrotherapy sessions on a canine treadmill as part of his physiotherapy.

His future owners would also need to continue his reward-based training to “bring out the best in him”.

He will need an adult-only home with no other pets.

More information about Figgy and his requirements can be found at https://www.rspca.org.uk/local/sussex-west-branch/findapet/details/FIGGY/BSA2119664/rehome.

A spokesman for the centre said: “Despite being a super sweet and a lovely boy he is going to be a big project for someone to take on and we are looking for adopters who will commit the time to continue with his reward-based training and really bring out the best in him.

“He is learning little by little about the world, but will need a lot of support in the home.

“Figgy is a really friendly and affectionate boy who cannot wait to find his forever family.”
