The crash involving one car closed the A27, Arundel Road, Worthing in both directions last night.
Firefighters, paramedics and police officers could be seen in attendance.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said the driver was taken to hospital to be checked over and later released.
The road re-opened after the incident was cleared.
