Police have discovered a body in the search for a missing pensioner.
Officers had been looking for Michael New, 88, after he was last seen near Grams Road, Deal, at midday on Monday.
They say the body of a man was found in countryside near the town’s Cherry Lane yesterday evening.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but Mr New’s family have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
