The honeycomb whiptail stingray is among a host of creatures housed in the aquarium from this month.
The aquatic animals will be in Brighton temporarily while their regular enclosure undergoes some maintenance.
Neil Harris, general manager at Sea Life in Brighton, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the group of endangered stingrays and sharks to our family at the aquarium.

“The animals are settling into their short-term home swimmingly and our brilliant resident animal care team are doing everything possible to help them adjust to life at Sea Life Brighton.
“We can’t wait to see our guests’ reactions as they discover the huge variety of amazing animals we have here and learn all about the new species, including the beautiful rays.”
Also joining the aquarium are three southern stingrays, a female zebra shark and two critically endangered Blackchin Guitar Sharks called Pablo and Tequila.
Visitors will be able to see the new animals within the aquarium’s day and night ocean tunnel habitat.
The tunnel recently received a £350,000 upgrade to its life support systems.
