Sussex Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP) are looking to hire a full-time camera technician/enforcement officer to join the team.

They will be paid between £28,302 and £30,783 for a 37-hour working week.

The job will require the person to service, maintain and install fixed speed and red-light enforcement technology across the county.

It will be based in Shoreham however daily travel around the county will be required.

Applicants should also expect to have to work some unsociable hours and weekend shifts on a rota basis.

Essential requirements for the job include a full UK driving license, including the ability to drive up to 3.5 ton vans, and IT skills.

The job specification reads: “You will be joining a highly motivated operational team that are required to service, maintain and install fixed speed cameras and red-light enforcement technology as well as providing mobile speed enforcement across Sussex.

“Other duties include completion of disclosure files, representing Sussex Police at Magistrates and Crown Court as well as giving presentations and attending public events.”

Some of the skills needed for the job are good organisation, ability to meet deadlines and a “can-do approach”.

Interviews for the job begin from February 5.
