Police say they stopped a motor after observing it in the town last night (Tuesday, January 16).
After checking the vehicle out, officers claimed it had no valid insurance.
Following that, the vehicle was seized and the driver was issued with a £300 fine and six points.

A check of the vehicle’s documents revealed the vehicle didn’t appear to have insurance.
It was established no insurance was held.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Lanarkshire Road Policing observed this vehicle in Coatbridge last night.
“A check of the vehicle’s documents revealed the vehicle didn’t appear to have insurance.
“It was established no insurance was held.
“Driver issued with a conditional offer – six points and a £300 fine.
“Vehicle seized.”
