The star played Alan Bates in the recent hit ITV drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office, which has prompted nationwide outrage over the scandal and prompted the government to announce plans for a new law to quash the convictions of those affected.

The show follows how a faulty IT system caused apparent cash shortfalls, prompting the Post Office to wrongly prosecute hundreds of sub-postmasters and sub-postmistresses across the country.

The series has been well-received by critics, with Rebecca Nicholson for The Guardian describing the drama as a “David v Goliath story, but the Goliath is a multi-headed beast emerging from a tangle of old institutional power and modern corporate practices.”

Toby is also well-known for his roles in Jurassic World, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and his voice role as Dobby in the Harry Potter franchise.

He will be interviewed alongside cinematographer and photographer Peter Suschitzky, whose career has spanned more than six decades.

His previous work includes The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Empire Strikes Back, Mars Attacks! and the 1988 thriller Dead Ringers.

The pair will be interviewed as part of an event by Southern Performance And Creative Energies (The Space) at Horatio’s bar on Brighton Palace Pier.

Tickets to the event, on February 15 from 7.30pm, cost £21 and are available by visiting the-space.uk.
