Police and fire crews were at the scene of an incident in Montague Street at around 4pm on Sunday.
The Argus understands that a man was arrested, however exactly what happened is yet to be confirmed by police. The Argus contacted Sussex Police for comment.

One bystander described it as a “large scale incident” and it is understood that Sussex Police Chief Constable Jo Shiner was on the scene.
Another person said: “I just saw someone getting put in the back of the van. There were so many police cars and an ambulance, too.”
It was one of a number of incidents across the county including a crash outside the nearby Worthing fire station.
