Photographs showed the vehicle after colliding with a wall in Buckingham Place, Brighton, at 3.30am.
A Sussex Police spokesman said the incident is being investigated.

“We can confirm a marked police response car collided with a wall in Buckingham Place, Brighton, around 3.44am on Wednesday, December 20,” they said.
“The driver and sole occupant was taken to hospital as a precaution, while the vehicle was recovered.
“The circumstances of the collision are currently being investigated.”
