The A2 has been shut on the approach to the Port of Dover due to a serious crash.
The major A-road has been closed in both directions between the A258 Deal Roundabout and the A20 at Eastern Docks due a collision involving two vehicles.
One of the vehicles has overturned and come to rest on its roof.
Fire crews, police and the ambulance service are all at the scene.
A diversion route has been put in place.
Road users are advised to follow the solid circle diversion symbol on eastbound road signs.
Taffic will be diverted at the Duke of York Roundabout onto the A258 towards Dover and Castle Hill Road.
Prior to the junction with A256 Woolcomber Street/Maison Dieu Road it will turn south into St James Street.
From St James Street it will then turn left on to A256 Woolcomber Street and travel towards the junction with the A20.
For motorists headed west-bound follow the solid square diversion symbol.
Traffic will exit the Eastern Docks onto the A20 Town Wall Street westbound.
Travel to the York Street junction and turn right into York Street (A256) and then travel north to the Priory Street Roundabout and take the second exit on to Priory Road (A256).
Drivers are then advised to stay on the A256 until the mini-roundabout with Whitfield Hill before taking the second exit to remain on the A256 Whitfield Hill.
They should continue on this road to join the A2 at the Whitfield Roundabout.
