From Monday, December 18 to Friday, December 22 there are a few road and lane closures scheduled for the likes of the A27 and the A23.

These will mainly be for maintenance works to ensure the upkeep of the motorways and A roads in the build-up to what will likely be a very busy festive period.

If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it’s best to take note of different diversions in place.

Sussex road closures from December 18 to 22

A23

Monday, December 18

On the A23 southbound way, there will be an exit slip road closure at Bolney for resurfacing work from 8pm on Monday to 6am on Tuesday.

Following that, no other closures are listed on the National Highways website on the A23 for the rest of the week.



A27

Monday, December 18

On the A27 westbound way, there will be an entry slip road closure at Devils Dyke for maintenance works from 8pm on Monday to 6am on Tuesday.

Alongside that and also on the westbound way, there will be an entry slip road closure at Hangleton.

This will be for maintenance works that will last from 8pm on Monday to 6am on Tuesday.

Following that, no other closures are listed on the National Highways website on the A27 for the rest of the week.
