
The BBC is on a mission to be the only show in town. It has taken the local out of local radio, drastically cutting the number of hours of locally produced shows you’ll hear on BBC Radio Kent- and intends to write more news online, directly competing with your local newspaper’s website, which themselves are currently battling with tech platforms like Google, Meta and Apple for a fair share of the value generated by the content created.
