With the theme of “weather”, the range of snaps we received was so impressive – from storm Ciaran at the start of the month, to the first frosts of the season, to some gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.

As ever, it was tough to pick just a few runners-up and crown one snapper the winner of the November competition.

We loved Annette Radford’s snap of people taking shelter under some umbrella-shaped trees in a storm in Preston Park – it was so clever.

Janet Obyrne’s shot of Meeting House Lane off North Street captured the atmosphere of Brighton after a storm with the street lamps above reflected on the damp cobbles.

We also really liked Jonnie Musich’s picture of an orange sunrise on King’s Road which was atmospheric alongside the car taillights and promenade lighting.

And Clare Boyling’s snap of an autumn afternoon with sun poking through the trees in Lindfield was beautiful.

But we decided this month’s winner is Shannon Cassidy, whose shot of a big raindrop on Hove beach was just brilliant.

The atmosphere of a beautiful November sunset was captured in one tiny droplet. Shannon wins £50.

The December theme is “ice”. Post your entry on The Argus Camera Club Facebook page, mentioning where it was taken.

It is one entry per person and the deadline is midnight on December 31. As always, the winner will receive a £50 prize. Good luck.
