Firefighters were called to Anerley Hill, Crystal Palace at around 11am this morning (Monday, December 4).

Two fire engines and ten firefighters were called to the blaze.

A single-storey outbuilding which London Fire Brigade estimates was around 13 metres by five metres, was destroyed by the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The fire was under control by around 1pm and its cause is under investigation.

As the fire was put out, police at the scene closed the road, causing a build up of traffic.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Bromley MPS tweeted that temporary road closures were in place as they dealt with the “large” fire.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Two fire engines and around ten firefighters responded to a fire on Anerley Hill, Bromley.  

“A single-storey outbuilding, approximately 13 metres by 5 metres, was destroyed by the fire. 

“There are no reports of any injuries. 

“The Brigade received the first of five calls reporting the fire at 1107, and the incident was under control by 1252. Firefighters from West Norwood Fire Station attended the scene.  

The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
