Recent research from Stanford University has brought up some serious doubts about the safety of AI chatbots used as therapy tools. The study tested how 5 different chatbot systems, like Character.ai’s Therapist and 7cups’ Pi, responded to mental health scenarios. And honestly, the results were alarming.. many of these bots showed bias against certain mental health conditions, such as alcohol dependence and schizophrenia. They treated these conditions with more suspicion than others, such as depression, creating responses that could maybe worsen stigma already around these conditions. Renew Preston Village co-founder Greg Fittock presented the petition to Brighton and Hove City Council calling for safer crossings, rain gardens and more protected space. New housing legislation aimed at improving the safety of rental homes in Guernsey could prompt more landlords to leave the sector, according to the chairman of the Guernsey Landlords Association.
